Introduction

The 1Malaysia Mobile Clinic (KB1M) is an idea of the Government to provide health services to rural residents who live far from static health clinic facilities like in the plantations, traditional villages and orang asli villages.

Concept

KB1M is conceptualised in the form of modified busses equipped with medical equipments by taking into account the scope of services, flow of patients, practicality, as well as comfort and safety of staff and clients.

Scope of Services

• Outpatient treatment services including emergency treatment.
• Mother and child health care services (antenatal, postnatal, immunisation, family planning)
• Health education, screening, advisory, health promotion activity services.
• Follow up treatment for chronic illness cases.
• Making case references whenever necessary.
• Perform minor treatment procedures.
• Making notification about infectious disease.
• Pathology laboratory basic support services (point of care test).
• Dispensing medicine

Schedule and Operating Hours

Monday-Friday

8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Including travelling time)

*Visitation schedule is periodic to pre-determined locations. The visitation frequency to each location by KB1M is 2-3 times a week.
